Handel’s Sarabande

A very simple arrangement of the theme of Handel’s Sarabande. Again from “Solo Ukulele für Einsteiger”.

Andante Grazioso on the “new” Schaepe

In Winterswijk I had the opportunity to obtain a Schaepe in mint condition. I readily upgraded it with better tuners too. The tabs for this arrangement are in “Solo Ukulele für Einsteiger”.

The 9 Euro ukulele

A little Sor minuet. I played it on a really cheap ukulele: Ok, I bought it used. However, I was told the price was only 13 Euros on Ebay when it was new. It’s a “Tokky” ukulele. Isn’t it amazing how much ukulele you can get for so little money nowadays?

Ferdinando Carulli — Andantino in G Major

A little piece from my classical E-Book. The spreads for the left hand are a bit nasty. (The other arrangements are much easier in that regard.)

Le coeur est bon

A wonderful, extraordinarily fascinating piece from Susato’s Danserye:

Mille ducas en vostre bource

Again a piece on the pineapple Brüko (this time only on this ukulele). A funny little dance piece from the Danserye.

Tribute to the moon

Again a sound comparison between the pineapple Brüko and the No.6. Now there are brown medium Worth strings on the pineapple Brüko. On each of the ukuleles I’m playing three nice little pieces: Guter Mond, du gehst so stille Der Mond ist aufgegangen Au clair de la lune You can find tabs for these pieces…

De madrigale, Danse de Hercules oft maticine

Again a piece played on two Brüko ukuleles. As a matter of fact, two versions of this piece are contained in Susato’s Danserye, and I combined them in this recording. Again everything was recorded with identical settings.

Zarabanda francesa on two Brükos

The Zarabanda francesa by Gaspar Sanz (from Book 1, page 12). The first Brüko is an experimental pineapple soprano with Aquila Red strings. The second is my good ol’ Brüko No.6 with brown Worth medium strings. Both recordings were made with exactly the same settings. The difference in loudness between the ukuleles was preserved. (The…

Am Weihnachtsbaum die Lichter brennen

… and it looks like I have a weakness for playing veeeery simple piecelets with the uke. I just recognized that I already have a whole lot of Christmas Carols (German and English) on Youtube. So I made a little playlist, just in case you need some ukulele Christmas Carol overdose… https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL4MnwRVSfko51dPyxcHxyacShPGEopuD_ If you also…
