Congrats on launching the site and publishing three new works for the uke. Solo Ukulele fur Einsteiger was the book I learned to play with and have enjoyed it for years since.
Needless to say, all three of you new books are downloaded, printed, and in front of me this morning. They look amazing!

As a (previous) violinist, I have been looking for Baroque & Celtic music for the ukulele, and your ebooks are simply wonderful. What makes your books so special are the accompanying mp3′s.

Hey Guys, just been browsing gogole to find out what time we’re playing on Thursday (That’s how organised I am!) and I discovered this blog! Cheers very much for the kind words on the video and track. We’re a new little band who only formed in July last year and currently don’t have much material on the net. We are however in the studio writing and recording for the next few months and although it’s not the only weapon in our arsenal, the Ukulele will feature heavily in a few more pieces I’m currently writing.It’s such a diverse and bright instrument; I fell in love with it as soon as I bought it in my lunch break last autumn (Wrote You-GO 3 days later using the 1st four chords I learnt) As for Dan’s pants mictoboy We keep telling him the same thing! Ich habe seinerzeit erst dank Ihres “Solo-Ukulele für Einsteiger” begriffen, dass die Ukulele mehr ist als eine kleine Schrammelgitarre für unterwegs und auch Ihre neuen Bücher gehören für mich zum Besten, was es an Ukulelen-Literatur überhaupt gibt. Besonders gefreut habe ich mich über vielen die O’Carolan tunes. Die Technik der “Auf- und Abwärtsarpeggios” (nennt man das so?), die Sie so gekonnt einsetzen, kommen hier besonders gut zur Geltung. Schade nur, dass bei der “Alten Musik” Ihr schönes Arragement von “Wilson’s Wilde” nicht dabei ist. Vielleicht in der zweiten Auflage? Auch den Preis Ihrer Bücher finde ich übrigens mehr als fair. Ich habe schon mehr als das Doppelte für andere Bücher ausgegeben, die nicht halb so gut waren wie Ihre. Also, vielen Dank nochmals und machen Sie weiter so!
Dankeschön für den netten Kommentar! Ja, wie nennt man die Arpeggios? Ich würde sagen, einfach Arpeggios. Man kann sie aufwärts oder abwärts ausführen, und das sage ich dann so. Genauere Fachtermini sind mir leider auch nicht bekannt… Das Arrangement für “Wilsons Wilde” werde ich auch noch veröffentlichen, versprochen! Und O’Carolan ist eine gewaltige Fundgrube für mich.
